WWE Raw: Jinder Mahal touted big-time ahead of Title Match vs. Seth Rollins

Out of nowhere, Jinder Mahal is back on WWE TV and he's coming straight for the World Heavyweight Championship. It will be on tonight's Raw that he will challenge Seth Rollins with the top title hanging in the balance.

With Royal Rumble approaching, there are a lot of possibilities, and seeing a new champion isn't off the table at this point. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk is slated to happen, shortly and it doesn't necessarily need to be a championship match.

A one-on-one bout could easily be a WrestleMania headliner and that presents the possibility of seeing Jinder Mahal emerging as a two-time WWE Champion following the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.

After having an altercation with Tony Khan on Twitter, The Modern-Day Maharaja has all over been on the internet, last week, and now, WWE has also been promoting his first title reign which surpassed some of the all-time greats in terms of longevity.

A post from Reddit's Squared Circle pointed out that Jinder Mahal's only WWE title reign (170-day) outlasted the individual WWE title reigns of 29 former champions like The Rock, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, Mankind, Ric Flair, Batista, Edge, Rey Mysterio, and many more.

In another previous viral post, it was mentioned how Seth Rollins' Universal title reign drew an estimated 53,350 fans over 16 shows for a 3,334 average which is worse than Mahal's WWE title reign averaging 3,497 on a weaker brand.

Given these stats, one can never rule out a championship change just like the way the India-native shocked the world, almost seven years ago by defeating Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at Backlash premium live event.

During his confrontation with Seth Rollins on last week's Raw, Mahal pointed out that he had been overlooked for too long, and that he's coming to collect his moment. The two got physical with Rollins failing in an attempt to deliver a Stomp.

In a segment that was recorded after Raw, Mahal was further asked about his motivation for going after Rollins and the world championship, and in reply, he said that his objective is to 'regain respect'.

"It's my objective to no longer be overlooked. Overlooked by the WWE Universe, overlooked by the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Let me remind you, as a reminder, the WWE Universe, I'm a former WWE Champion, the greatest WWE Champion of all time."
