Two former WWE world champions were in attendance on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw that went down from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas in the form of Mark Henry and Candice Michelle.
Henry was shown sitting in the Austin crowd on the flagship WWE show with his son Jacob, who is part of the wrestling team at the University of Oklahoma. Michael Cole noted that Jacob has recently signed an NIL deal with WWE.

This marked Henry’s first televised appearance since his departure from the company in 2021 after a 25-year run with WWE to join AEW as part of their broadcast team. Currently, he is a part of Busted Open Radio after leaving AEW.
As for Candice Michelle, the former Women’s Champion made her first appearance on WWE TV since the 2019 Raw Reunion episode, a night where she briefly won the WWE 24/7 Championship before losing it to Alundra Blayze within a few seconds.
Michelle was part of WWE from 2004-2009, first appearing as part of the 2004 Diva Search. Winning the women’s championship in 2007, she was the first Diva Search participant to hold a championship in WWE’s history.
Also on WWE Raw, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions - Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre interfered in the number-one contenders’ match between Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Kairi Sane) & Pure Fusion Collective (Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark).
Stark accidentally hit Fyre with a kick who was sitting at the commentary desk which forced both Fyre and Dawn to hit the ring and attack the match participants to cause the disqualification.
As a result, it’s now been confirmed that WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn will defend their titles in a triple threat match against Damage CTRL’s IYO SKY & Kairi Sane, and Pure Fusion Collective’s Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark on next week’s Raw.
Former Brawling Brutes stablemates Sheamus & Pete Dunne will also continue feuding by featuring in a singles bout on the August 19 episode of WWE Raw that takes place at the FLA Live Arena in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The announced matches for the show are as follows:
