WWE Raw Moving Back To TV-14 Ratings Following Debut On Netflix

WWE has officially announced the location of the debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, which has been touted to be changing the direction of professional wrestling from what we've witnessed thus far on TV.

After months of speculation, WWE officially announced the venue of the first Raw on Netflix, which will take place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, on January 6, 2025.

Netflix already hosts a WWE content section, and it lists Raw as a TV-14 show, moving on from the PG era. This doesn't necessarily hint at a full-fledged return to WWE's old-school programming, but more uncensored promos and edgier storylines are expected.

That being said, The Attitude Era fans would be happy with the news. Earlier this year, The Rock's promos were censored by FOX and the USA Network on cable TV. Triple H affirms that such things won't happen on Netflix.

Tickets for the first Raw on Netflix go on sale this Friday at 1 PM Eastern Time via Ticketmaster and this episode is expected to have a premium live event feel with multiple legends on board.

At present, WWE is advertising stars like John Cena, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, and CM Punk for the Los Angeles premiere. Travis Scott will also appear on this episode since his music will serve as the official theme song of Raw's Netflix era.

Netflix recently had a blockbuster night with Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul which drew 60 million viewers. However global fans reported technical problems due to persistent buffering and connection issues throughout the fight.

As such, WWE fans are worried about the same issues while watching Raw on Netflix. According to Fightful Select, the global OTT platform assured WWE that whatever the issues are, won't persist upon WWE content's arrival in January.

A WWE executive further added the following and seemed assured about Raw moving to Netflix, "If we were ever doing the type of traffic Mike Tyson and Jake Paul were doing, that would be a good problem to have."
