Readying for 2025, WWE is going through a transition phase, and as announced on the latest Friday Night SmackDown episode on the USA Network, there will be changes on the rosters across Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.
In the opening segment of the December 6 episode of the show, Chad Gable interrupted the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, entering with Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, and Ivy Nile to the sound of American Made's music.

Gable was the first to reveal that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis had contacted him about transferring to SmackDown from Raw with the brand transfer window approaching. Later Gable also competed on the show, losing to Rhodes.
Afterward, Micheal Cole provided more details on this transfer window, saying that General Managers from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT would be working together to interchange the current brands of some specific wrestlers ahead of the new year.
In a further update, SmackDown's host, USA Network, posted a similar update on their social media handle, suggesting that the transfer window will be open so that Raw, SmackDown, and NXT talents can change their rosters.
As such, some development was noticed regarding this process throughout the night where stars from Raw were seen talking to SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. In one such segment, Aldis could be seen welcoming Dominik Mysterio into his office.
In another major happening, Aldis also greeted the WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER which left Carmelo Hayes fuming as he was willing to talk to Aldis. Hayes also hinted at moving to Raw if Aldis doesn't come up with plans for him.
This apparent roster shakeup comes in the wake of WWE Raw's move to Netflix which is being heavily promoted in recent weeks. The debut episode of the red brand on Netflix will air on January 6 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.
WWE Raw's final episode on USA Network will take place on December 30, ending a journey of almost two decades. In September, SmackDown moved back to the USA Network from FOX while NXT moved from USA to the CW.
