Bengaluru, February 8: For weeks now, the injury of WWE Raw's Jason Jordan has been the matter of discussion. The sources, as well as the fans, doubted his status since he was kept out for weeks due to this. However, the officials did not pull him out of the WWE TV which is why the situation has turned even more confusing.

This has made several changes in the matches as well as the storylines. Apparently, Jordan's injury was the main reason the team of Rollins and Jordan lost the WWE Raw tag team championships at Royal Rumble. WWE continued to showcase this injury as a fake one that was picked up on that night.

Earlier this week, he was believed to be fit and hence, the tag team championship rematch was announced on WWE Raw. But, once again, the doctors denied to medically clear him which forced Roman Reigns to partner Rollins.

Later, WWE.com confirmed that the former tag champ has undergone a surgery. This was the official statement released,

“He had an injury to a disc in his neck which resulted in significant pain that was refractory to all conservative measures,” WWE Medical Director Dr. Joseph Maroon said. “It was decided to do a minimally invasive operation to decompress the nerve, to allow it to heal. The procedure Jordan underwent is called a minimally invasive posterior cervical microdiscectomy. It is not known just how long Jordan will be out of action."

No timeline of when we can expect him back in action was revealed. Interestingly, it was also not disclosed that exactly when the surgery was done based on which we can assume his comeback or his availability at Wrestlemania.

Going forward, Jason Jordan has been removed from all the live events. Seth Rollins has received a new partner for these upcoming shows. Finn Balor is the one to take up the role instead of the much predicted, Roman Reigns.

Meanwhile, Jordan's wife opened up on this situation stating that her husband is dealing with a minor injury on his neck. He will be back in no time and so the fans should not be disappointed. Despite this WWE gave an update on his surgery which is why it looks like a desperate move from the creative team to sell this in-ring absence as an injury.
