WWE Raw: Title Match challenger set; New Title Match and more announced

Over on the post-WrestleMania episode of Raw, the first challenger for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship has been crowned in the form of Jey Uso. But it's not confirmed when he will receive the title match opportunity.

Jey Uso won a fatal-4-way number-one contender's match on the latest episode of Raw with an assist from CM Punk and pinned Drew McIntyre to become the challenger to the World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.

The match also featured Ricochet and Bronson Reed. But they were out of the picture after Ricochet hit Reed with a springboard 450-splash through the announce table in a massive spot, leaving McIntyre and Uso in a one-on-one capacity.

Drew had the match won as he went for the Claymore Kick, but CM Punk interfered and stopped him from hitting the finisher by holding his leg. Jey countered and hit a Frog Splash for the win.

Damian Priest won the World Heavyweight Championship during Night Two of WrestleMania 40, cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on McIntyre. Before that, McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins in the opening match of the Show of Shows.

In more news from the latest episode of Raw, Sami Zayn will defend his newly won Intercontinental Championship against Chad Gable, next week. Andrade will also be in action against Dominik Mysterio in a battle between two former friends.

Zayn and Gable defeated Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci on Monday, and then the two spoke backstage. Zayn then awarded the title match in his hometown of Montreal since it was Gable who trained Zayn ahead of his match against Gunther at WrestleMania 40.

On last week's SmackDown, Dominik and the rest of Legado del Fantasma attacked his father Rey Mysterio after the singles encounter between Elektra Lopez and Zelina Vega. Andrade was in an alliance with Dominik until then.

But he turned his back on Dominik and attacked him to even the odds for Rey. At WrestleMania, Rey and Andrade went on to defeat Dominik and Santos Escobar. Now, Dom will face Andrade on Raw to seek redemption.
