WWE Raw: Tournament Finale, Street Fight And More Booked For September 9 Episode

Builds for the upcoming WWE premium live event, Bad Blood is yet to be kicked off on Monday Night Raw as there’s more than a month to go for the show. Meanwhile, some of the top matches for the weekly show have been announced.

Initially touted to offer an Intercontinental Championship match, next week’s episode will rather declare the new number-one contender for the mid-card title with the ongoing tournament to crown the same coming to an end.

On this week’s episode of Raw, Ilja Dragunov defeated Dragon Lee and Dominik Mysterio in a Triple Threat Match to advance to the upcoming Fatal-4-Way Match to crown the new Number-One Contender for the Intercontinental Championship.

Then in the penultimate match of Raw, Braun Strowman defeated Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser in another Triple Threat Match to the above-mentioned Fatal-4-Way Match. Strowman replaced Bronson Reed in the qualifier due to injury reasons.

With that, the lineup for the Fatal-4-Way Contender’s Match was declared to be Jey Uso vs. Pete Dunne vs. Ilja Dragunov vs. Braun Strowman, and the match was also announced for next Monday’s episode of Raw.

The winner of this match will face Bron Breakker at a later episode of Raw with the Intercontinental Title hanging in the balance. Jey Uso is seemingly the favorite to be in the challenger’s position after he featured in a backstage segment with Breakker.

In more announcements for next week, Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against The Unholy Union (Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre). This will be a rematch from last Saturday’s Bash in Berlin PLE.

Also, an eight-person street fight has been made official for next Monday’s Raw, with The Wyatt Sicks going up against American Made in a rematch. Interestingly, the challenge was laid out by American Made’s leader Chad Gable.

WWE Raw September 9 episode takes place at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The currently confirmed three matches for the show coming out of this week’s episode go as follows,

  • Intercontinental Championship Contender’s tournament fatal-4-way finale: Jey Uso vs. Pete Dunne vs. Braun Strowman vs. Ilja Dragunov
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill defend against Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn
  • Street fight: Wyatt Sicks (Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, Nikki Cross) vs. American Made (Chad Gable, Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Ivy Nile)
