The 23rd WWE King of the Ring tournament commenced on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw where three Superstars advanced to the next round matches in the quarterfinal round which are set to go down on the May 13 episode.
Over on the latest episode of Raw, the tournament began with three first-round bouts. It was also revealed on Raw that the fourth match of the first round from the bracket will take place on a house show this weekend.

In the bygone three matches, Jey Uso defeated Finn Balor, Ilja Dragunov defeated Ricochet and Gunther defeated Sheamus to advance to the next round. Rey Mysterio vs. Kofi Kingston is the fourth match slated for an untelevised live event.
In the quarterfinal round, Gunther will take on the winner of the Kingston vs. Mysterio match while Uso will face Dragunov on next Monday's Raw. First-round bouts on the SmackDown side of the bracket will start this Friday's SmackDown episode.
The first-round matches for WWE Queen of the Ring also began on this Monday's Raw episode with three first-round bouts going down from the Raw side of the bracket while the fourth match will take place at a house show, this weekend.
IYO SKY defeated Natalya Neidhart, Zoey Stark defeated Ivy Nile and Lyra Valkyria defeated Dakota Kai to advance to the next round. The final first-round match from the Raw side will be Shayna Baszler vs. Zelina Vega for the house show.
SKY will face the winner of the Baszler vs. Vega match while Valkyria will face Stark in the second round quarterfinal round on next week's episode of Raw. The first-round matches on the SmackDown side of the bracket will begin this Friday on SmackDown.
The finals of both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will take place at the WWE King & Queen of the Ring premium live event scheduled for the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, May 25.
