WWE: Creative plan for Raw Women’s Championship at the Summerslam PPV

Bengaluru, July 22: Alexa Bliss is the present women's champion who has been given quite a dominant run ever since winning the title. On joining the main roster she has been even more impressive.

So, it was not a surprise to see her winning the Raw women's title just after entering the flagship brand.

Bliss defeated Bayley at the Payback PPV to win the title and become the first-ever champion to hold both Raw and Smackdown women's title. Her dream continued with another squash win against the Hugger at the following PPV.

Her last title defense was at the Great Balls of Fire PPV where she managed to escape Sasha Banks via count out. Next, in line, Alexa will defend the title at the Summerslam PPV.

The question is whom WWE will choose to face her at the biggest party of the summer.

To address the matter, Kurt Angle has announced a number one contender's match. Sasha and Bayley will lock horns on the next edition of Raw with the winner getting a shot at the title.

Now, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has spoilers for the upcoming Summerslam match featuring the women's category of Raw.

As per the previous speculation, Nia Jax, Sasha Banks and Bayley were rumoured to be included into the match making it a fatal 4-way affair. All of them were involved in the current scenario.

But, according to Dave, WWE creative is likely to make a singles contest for the title. So, we might see Sasha Banks emerging as the winner culminating a mega match against the Wicked Witch of the WWE.

However, Nia Jax is expected to make her presence felt during the upcoming contest on Raw. It would cost Bayley the march in order to make another match between these two at Summerslam which will be the second bout from the Raw women's division.

Alexa Bliss is still the favorite to walk out as the reigning champion on August 20th. She will hold the title for 112 days and will be more close to her predecessor, Charlotte.

At some point, Bliss could break the record of the longest reign with the Raw Women's title made by the Queen, as well.
