WWE Raw Women s IC Title Tournament Kicks Off Drew McIntyre Returns

On the December 2 episode of WWE Raw, Dakota Kai defeated Shayna Baszler and Katana Chance in a Triple Threat Match to advance to the next round of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament. Kai pinned Chance after hitting her with a scorpion kick.

The other side of the women’s IC title tournament bracket will see Lyra Valkyria, Zelina Vega, and Ivy Nile battle in the first match with the winner going up against the winner of Alba Fyre vs. Kairi Sane vs. Natalya Neidhart in the semifinals.

A similar such tournament is ongoing on SmackDown from which the first Women’s United States Champion will be crowned at Saturday Night’s Main Event. There’s no update on when the first-ever women’s Intercontinental Champion will be crowned.

In more news from this week’s episode of Raw, Drew McIntyre has returned to WWE programming, ending his two-month hiatus. The former WWE Champion showed up at the very end of the show to begin his next feud.

In the main event of the latest episode of WWE Raw, Seth Rollins defeated Sami Zayn and left by saying that he didn’t attack Jey Uso. McIntyre then made his return and laid out Zayn with a Claymore Kick.

The Scottish Warrior was last seen at Bad Blood WWE premium live event in the first week of October where he lost a Hell in a Cell match against CM Punk, ending a feud that went through most of 2024.
