WWE Raw: Women's World Champion retains title; New matches set for next week

In one of the major attractions of this week's WWE Raw, the Women's World Championship was on the line as the title-holder Liv Morgan went up against current rival Zelina Vega in what marked her second title defense.

As expected, Dominik Mysterio came out during the match to continue showing his hatred toward Liv and make sure that she loses the Title. Rey Mysterio also came out and had a physical confrontation with Dom.

Liv took out Rey with a dropkick when Dominik gave Zelina a steel chair to use it in his favor. But Zelina instead threw it back to Dominik in the head to send him off the apron.

Liv took advantage of this distraction and connected with her Ob-Livion finisher to pick up the pin-fall win. Thus, Dirty Dom inadvertently helped her on-screen flame to continue with the ongoing title reign.

Later the night on Raw, Liv returned the favor as she appeared at ringside in the WrestleMania 39 rematch between Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Liv and Zelina got into a brawl to create a distraction which allowed Dom to pick up the win.

While this week was all about Liv and Dom as promised by the former on social media, next week will be about Money in the Bank fallouts on Raw as two MITB ladder match competitors will be seen in one-on-one action.

Jey Uso vs. Chad Gable has been announced for next week's episode after they compete in the 2024 Money in the Bank ladder match, this weekend along with Drew McIntyre, Carmelo Hayes, Andrade, and LA Knight.

A six-woman tag team match has also been announced for next week's WWE flagship show with Damage CTRL's IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, and Dakota Kai going up against Lyra Valkyria, Katana Chance, and Kayden Carter.

Before that bout, SKY and Lyra will be seen in action in the Women's Money in the Bank 2024 ladder match. For the time being, the July 8 episode of Raw match card from the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada goes as follows:
