WWE: Reason why Emmalina character was abandoned

Bengaluru, Feb 17: To the much delight of the WWE audience, Emmalina did arrive on Monday Night Raw, this past week. It took her 17 long weeks to finally resurface on the flagship show after a plethora of vignettes, each week.

As promised by WWE and the gorgeous Diva, herself, her debut was supposed to be something very bright which would be worth the wait. However, in reality, it turned out to be totally opposite when she did arrive on the scene.

She was present on the ramp for just moments to show some glimpses of her. Moreover, in short, she declared that WWE will be turning her into the older version of Emma. She did not disclose the reason behind it and simply walked away.

According to a report from pro-wrestlingsheet.com, WWE creative has abandoned the Emmalina vignette after multiple rehearsals were done in the locker room area. WWE creative thought that the former NXT Divas would not do full justice to the character and hence decided to free her from doing the glorious job.

The delay in the arrival of the character was another reason behind nixing the planning. The audience would not involve into it, fully after waiting for an endless time. Plus, the timing was not in favor of her, either. It's the Wrestlemania season and the focus is on the prime women's championship on Raw.

As of now, the plan is to bring back her evil gimmick in the near future. There are no reports when will be the next time that we will see the negative character on television. But, it should not be prior to Wrestlemania, for sure.

The interesting part is that the Emmalina character is still in store for the WWE Creative. If they can find someone proper then a female talent will be awarded the gimmick in future. Let's wait to see who hits the jackpot, this time.
