WWE: Reason why Roman Reigns won Intercontinental Championship

New Delhi, Nov 25: This past edition of WWE Raw, we have witnessed a shocking title change. One of the most dominating champions in the WWE today, The Miz has lost his title to Roman Reigns.

By virtue of this win on the show, the member of The Shield has become one of the Grand Slam winners in the company which means holding all the relevant championships present in the company.

The match came up with a special edition of The Miz TV with Roman Reigns as the guest. The franchise player of the company arrived on the show with his buddies as the backup. They destroyed the partners of the former IC Champion to set up the main event on Monday Night Raw between Reigns and Miz.

The Big Dog sealed the deal by hitting a spear on the Hollywood A-lister in the match and pinning him. Now, most of the fans were surprised with this sudden title change on the show especially considering The Miz was given the duty of lifting the prestige of the Intercontinental championship.

A report from PWInsider.com was able to give an answer to that. According to them, Hollywood is calling 'the most must-see champion’ in the WWE. Hence, he will have to take a time-off from in-ring competition. So, the creative team had to take the title away from him. “PWInsider is reporting that The Miz dropped the Intercontinental Championship to Roman Reigns on Monday because he’s set to take time off to film another movie. One source noted that Miz may be going to film the next installment in “The Marine” franchise.”

Later, it was confirmed that The Miz will begin shooting for the sixth installment of The Marine movie. It will also feature Becky Lynch and WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels in important roles.

The Shield was seen hitting a devastating powerbomb to the former champion through the announce table while WWE Raw went off the air. Apparently, this would be the storyline angle to write Miz off WWE TV. It is expected that the entertaining superstar will be away from Raw for five to six weeks and will be back in time for the Royal Rumble PPV.
