WWE release Enzo Amore for sexual harassment allegations

Bengaluru, Jauary 24: Former Cruiserweight champion Enzo Amore has been released by the WWE, due to sexual harassment allegations.

Recently, a sexual harassment allegation was lodged against the WWE Superstar based on which associations with him have been cut. An official statement was released on this matter.

WWE continues to deal with unwanted situations associated with superstars under their banner. This time around, the biggest pro-wrestling promotion was forced to suspend a champion from Monday Night Raw which could be a big blow to their ratings considering his star attraction.

The matter started after a woman filed a complaint against the Cruiserweight Champion stating that he raped her in mid-October. Once letting the police know about it, multiple post via social media were made revealing the texts shared between them.

Apart from Enzo Amore, the woman also alleged designer Tyler Grosso who accompanied the WWE star on that night of the crime. Check out the comments from the woman who is Youtuber and the following tweets contain texts exchanged between the two parties,

“OKAY..it’s been long enough & I have been so so scared to share this. I was raped in mid-October by the WWE Enzo Amore (also known as Eric Arden) & Tyler Grosso & TOOPOOR let it happen as accomplices. I was in a mental hospital for 45 days after it. They ARE NOT good people.”

Later, multiple sources provided an update on this matter. According to wrestlingINC.com, the legal issues are being dealt under the Phoenix Police where the complaint was lodged. It is under investigation, at this time and hence, the Certified G superstar will be banned from WWE programming, going forward.

When it comes to company's wellness policy violation, WWE is quite strict. They have zero tolerance for these issues and hence WWE did not hesitate to terminate the superstar's contract with immediate effect.
