WWE Releases Three Superstars From Contract Before Annual Crown Jewel PLE

In a shocking turn of events, WWE has come to terms with three of its active roster members-Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Tegan Nox-and decided to wish them the very best in their future endeavors.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful earlier reported that the three names mentioned above were leaving WWE. In an update, it was noted that Indi and Tegan were released from their contracts while Corbin's was not renewed.

WWE simply let him know that they won't re-sign him to a new deal. As such, Corbin posted the below on X regarding his departure, "That's all she wrote folks. It's been real and I appreciate everyone who supported me."

It was further noted by the source that The Lone Wolf was present at several SmackDown tapings in recent times and he's not dealing with any injuries. Recently, Corbin participated in dark matches with The OC and Los Garza.

According to Fightful, WWE officials wanted to put Corbin in a tag team with Apollo Crews but that idea wasn't entertained by Corbin. Later, WWE creative themselves lost interest in them and no new pitch was made.

Signed in 2012, Corbin performed in NXT before being called up on Raw in 2016. Down the road, WWE's gimmick change made him King Corbin and even constable of the Raw brand and then Happy Corbin after becoming rich in Las Vegas.

Previously touted as a former world champion, Corbin found early success in his career by winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania and then the 2017 Money in the Bank contract. However, that didn't lead to a world title win.

Indi Hartwell was signed with the WWE in 2019 and is best known for her run in NXT where she became a one-time NXT Women's Champion, last year. Her romance storyline with Dexter Lumis also became very popular before she arrived on Raw.

As for Tegan Nox, she was released by the WWE in 2021 from NXT. She returned on SmackDown a year later and then on Raw to start teaming with Natalya. After being traded to SmackDown during the Draft, she never appeared on TV.
