WWE Royal Rumble 2024 Results, Recap & Highlights

Last night's Royal Rumble 2024 edition was the first WWE premium live event of this year. It went down from the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, the same venue that the Rumble emanated from, two years ago.

Apart from the annual Rumble matches, a couple of title matches were in store on the match card of the show. Check out the results, recap, and highlights from one of the most unprecedented PLE nights in the WWE:

- Bayley outlasted 29 other participants to win the opening Women's Royal Rumble 2024 matchup to solidify a championship match of her choice at WrestleMania 40. She eliminated Liv Morgan to pick up the win.

Entry number one in women's Rumble was Natalya while entry number two was the returning Naomi. Bayley was the third entrant in the match followed by Candice LeRae while at number five, TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace came out to shock the WWE Universe.

Regular roster members came out thereafter while R-Truth mistakenly entered the Women's Royal Rumble match at number 24. From 27 to 30, multiple returns and debuts took place as Roxanne Perez, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton and Liv Morgan entered.

After Zoey and Roxanne got eliminated, Jade eliminated Naomi (lasted for an hour) and Becky Lynch. Bayley eliminated both Bianca and Tiffany while Liv eliminated Cargill. Finally, Bayley eliminated Liv to win the Royal Rumble 2024.

- Undisputed WWE Universal Championship Match: Roman Reigns (c) defeated Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles in a Fatal-4-Way to retain his title at Royal Rumble. Orton almost got the win by delivering RKOs on each of his opponents.

But Solo Sikoa pulled the referee out of the ring to stop the pin attempt by Orton. AJ downed Orton with a Phenomenal Forearm but Roman caught him with a massive spear to secure the pin-fall over AJ.

- United States Championship Match: Logan Paul (c) defeated Kevin Owens to retain his title via disqualification. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller came out and passed a brass knuckle in aid of Paul.

However, it was KO who took the knuckle to the cheers of the fans, he knocked out Paul with it. But the referee saw his actions and disqualified him from the contest, allowing Paul to go through his first title defense.

- Cody Rhodes outlasted 29 other participants to win the Men's Royal Rumble 2024 matchup in the main event slot. Now, Cody will get another shot at "finishing his story" when he challenges for the world title at WrestleMania 40.

Jimmy and Jey Uso started the Rumble match, teasing a rivalry for WrestleMania. At number four, the first surprise entrant came out in the form of Andrade. The only other surprise entrant was Pat McAfee at number 22.

CM Punk entered at number 27 and made it to the final two by eliminating Drew McIntyre. Cody and Punk were the final two men left. Cody hit the Cross Rhodes but Punk countered with the GTS. But Cody ultimately eliminated Punk to win the Royal Rumble.
