WWE Royal Rumble 2024: Spoiler on possible surprise entrants in Rumble matches

With Royal Rumble 2024 approaching closer, the anticipation within the pro-wrestling universe is growing bigger of seeing some unprecedented names returning to the WWE to shake things up around the Wrestlemania season.

PWInsider brought some insider scoops about the surprise entrants in the men's and women's matches and the first round of rumored names include Sean Waltman aka X-Pac of D-Generation X, former women's champion Naomi, and Liv Morgan.

Waltman was recently spotted at the WWE Performance Center which is situated in Orlando, Florida and since then there have been talks of having him back in the company during the Rumble weekend.

Previously, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer teased appearing in a future Rumble match. His most recent match in the WWE was a 10-person tag-team match on the July 8, 2002, edition of Monday Night Raw.

Former WWE star Naomi is immensely in discussion for the Women's Royal Rumble match. She currently is the IMPACT/TNA Knockouts World Champion as Trinity but her ongoing stint is about to finish through the coming tapings of that promotion.

The general belief within WWE is that the former Smackdown Women's Champion will be back on board with the WWE once her IMPACT/TNA contract expires. Her last appearance came in May 2022 when she was the women's tag champ alongside Sasha Banks (now Mercedes Mone).

Liv Morgan is also being speculated to finally make her return to the WWE after a long hiatus due to a shoulder injury. She was arrested for marijuana possession, but no issues were noted with WWE management.

It was later reported that these legal issues wouldn't affect future creative plans around her. Furthermore, the most serious charge against her was also dropped, paving the way for her for an appearance at the WWE Royal Rumble.

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio is recovering from a knee-surgery since suffering an attack from Santos Escobar. He had to undergo a surgical procedure on his knee, anyway and the healing process has also ended.

Recovering from the slight physical setback, The Master of 619 spoke to Baker Banter, recently and talked about doing physical therapy. He also sounded positive about coming back in action for the Men's Royal Rumble match.

The WWE 2024 Royal Rumble premium live event will take place on Saturday, January 27 from Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. The annual 37th annual WWE event will be the 7th event to have both men's and women's Royal Rumble matches on the card.
