WWE Rumor: Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins planned for post-Wrestlemania season

Bengaluru, March 4: During the Phoenix episode of WWE Raw, Seth Rollins pulled off a performance that will always be remembered as a benchmark in WWE TV. In a huge gauntlet match featuring all the participants of the bygone Elimination Chamber match, the former WWE Champion was the show-stealer of the night despite Braun Strowman winning the contest.
He competed for 65 minutes in the match which is an incredible statistic for any wrestler in the locker room. Not only that, he also pinned Roman Reigns and John Cena in two consecutive matches. This was one of those path-breaking nights like how Chris Jericho defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock on the same night.
The wins came in a clean way where the two franchise players of the company were defeated by the Architect. This indicates that there’s something very big in-store for him. A recent report was published regarding this on Wrestling Observer Newsletter where the potential plan was disclosed.
According to the source, one of the mainstay performers of Monday Night Raw defeated The Big Dog since WWE officials want tthe pair to be pumped up before the feud. Seth Rollins is most likely to be the first one to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship once the latter one wins it. The rivalry is set to begin once the Wrestlemania season is over.
Check out more updates on this from SportsKeeda.com,
“There have been seeds planted for this over the past few months with Reigns eliminating Rollins from the Royal Rumble back in January and Seth managing to pin his Shield teammate on Raw. This would then keep Rollins busy until Dean Ambrose makes his return to WWE following his recent surgery and the duo then step into a feud of their own.”
There was no update whether Rollins will turn into a heel or continue to remain babyface during this feud. The general thinking is that Brock Lesnar will drop the title at Wrestlemania to Roman Reigns after which this feud will pick up. The Conqueror is likely to leave the WWE once this happens. Hence, 'Monday Night Rollins’ should return to the title picture of the flagship show.
