WWE Rumor: Sasha Banks to turn into a big villain after Summerslam PPV
Bengaluru, August 2: Alexa Bliss was able to retain her WWE Raw Women's title successfully at the Great Balls of Fire PPV. However, she did not pin her challenger, Sasha Banks in order to defeat her and managed to keep her out of the title picture so far.
We believed that 'The Boss' will be given another shot at the title. But WWE had other ideas, to determine the number one contender for Bliss' championship, a match was held between Bayley and Sasha Banks.

But, as mentioned earlier, the latter one was clearly the favorite while heading into the match. There is no doubt that the Banks Vs Bliss rivalry would still continue.
However, in reality, it turned out to be completely different. Bayley pulled off a shocker by pinning Sasha and earning the rights to face the champion at Summerslam. It was unexpected since 'The Hugger' already had her chances for the title in the post-Wrestlemania season.
Now, this issue was addressed by Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter where they spoke about how the championship match at Summerslam would culminate. The main reason to put Bayley in the contender's spot was to turn Sasha Banks into a heel.
Ever since Bayley came up to the main roster, the dream feud between her and Banks is being speculated. But, the creative have kept it in reserve for so long. At Summerslam, Bayley is the favorite to pick up the title and then start the much-anticipated rivalry between the two best friends.
The source also mentioned the possibility of the Legit Boss coming out to the ring-side to distract Bayley and cost her the match. In this case, Banks' heel turn will take place in the dual brand PPV, itself. Little Miss Bliss is expected to start a feud with Nia Jax for her title, moving forward.
Apparently, Bayley was the one who was literally squashed during her earlier feud with the reigning champion. Hence, this time the creative will let her pick up the win and crown her with the second Women's title. From that point, Bayley Vs Banks would continue for rest of the year.
So, for now, the chances of seeing a fair and square match for the Raw Women's title is seemingly less at WWE Summerslam. If by any means, Alexa Bliss keeps her title reign intact, it is not going to be a clean pin again.
