WWE Rumour: ‘Broken’ Matt Hardy might return to Monday Night Raw

By Raja

Matt Hardy was a former WWE Superstar in the last decade. After his run in WWE was over, he joined the TNA promotion to be one of the main attractions.

He belongs on the top of the food chain there. Recently, this year's beginning saw TNA coming up with a new gimmick for their prime superstar i.e. “Broken" Matt Hardy.

The PPV “Final Deletion" featuring him and his brother, Jeff Hardy was critically acclaimed and saw huge success.

The pro-wrestling Universe was buzzing about the Final Deletion match despite they have loved or hated the rivalry between the two Hardy brothers.

In fact, it created so much buzz at this summer that Bray Wyatt involved himself in the saga by tweeting towards the Hardy Boyz.

WWE then arranged a much similar compound fight between the Wyatt family and the New Day prior to Battleground.

The gimmick was successful due to TNA's full-fledged planning towards it but it was the “broken" Matt Hardy who was the money-drawer and if going by the rumors then we might see the Hardy Boyz returning to their origin at WWE.

Rumours are running rampant after Matt Hardy posted a tweet after recent speculations of WWE buying TNA. He cleared teased a return to Monday Night Raw by specifying it in his post.

Matt himself stated the following regarding the rumor: "I would love, one day down that road, to show up in WWE and have a match with the Bray Wyatt. I would love to bring him to my battlefield and delete him. That would be my honor".

As per Jeff Hardy (now with the gimmick of Brother Nero), he always wanted to return to the biggest wrestling promotion in the world before hanging up his boots. He told a number of times that it's his dream to compete at Wrestlemania against the Undertaker inside a Hell in a Cell.

Considering it is Jeff's ultimate dream and since Matt has not held the WWE World championship in his career, a return might be on the cards.

However, the problem with Jeff is he has some serious problems of taking drug substances and creating a headache for the production which is intolerable by WWE. However, if they return it would be a huge draw for the company.
