Bengaluru, Dec 9: Chris Jericho has had a career year in 2016 since the day he arrived prior to Royal Rumble.
No superstar in the Raw roster can generate more attention than him with the charismatic persona that he possesses.
In addition, he brought new catchphrases like “The List of Jericho" and “Stupid, Idiot". The fans are extremely connected to this which in turn earned him, even more, praises.
The veteran superstar held all the prime championships present in today's WWE except the United States championship. Hence the recent rumours are suggesting that he will finally be adding the accomplishment under his wings.
A report from fansided.com suggested that Jericho will face Roman Reigns again in a US title match in the near future which will earn him the coveted prize from the Big Dog of the WWE. With his best friend Kevin Owens being the Universal champion both of them will be holding championship belts which in turn might make clear the unfinished feud between them.
The source actually suggested that the match would take place at the Roadblock PPV but we already know that Roman Reigns will be facing Kevin Owens for the Universal championship at the last PPV of the year.
The venue of the Roadblock PPV has also advertised that a match will take place between Seth Rollins and Chris Jericho which was confirmed by WWE, this past week.
So, with both of them already being booked for the night, the said match might take place anytime once the PPPV is over. Since Jericho has been the pivotal role for each of the Kevin Owens' championship matches, this time Owens will return the favor by helping his buddy winning the US title.
Jericho's legacy in the WWE will be solidified by the title win which he later can use to put over new talents like Sami Zayn. On the other hand, Roman Reigns can go on to new feuds with Braun Strowman if not he wins the Universal title at Roadblock PPV. Owens dropping the title at this point is not likely to happen.
