Rumour: Creative heads are intentionally burying Sasha Banks

New Delhi, Sep 2: At Summerslam, we have seen a plenty of championships changing hands. One of them was the Raw Women's title where Sasha Banks won by making Alexa Bliss tap out in the middle of the ring. With this win, The Boss overcame the Brooklyn curse where she suffered big losses over the years.

After winning the title for the fourth time, it was thought that Sasha will get a decent title run to cement her legacy as the champion. Prior to this, she won the title on three different occasions only to lose in the first defense. It was Charlotte who was put over by the losses.

This time, too, Sasha got another short reign since Alexa Bliss recaptured the title in quick time. The rematch took place on the last episode of WWE Raw where the Goddess was able to reclaim her throne and become a 4-time women's champion. It was a complete shocker, to say the least as the fans did not expect Sasha to lose.

This type of loss put Sasha's career in harm's way, before and it looks like the WWE creative team is determined to bury her character by any means possible. Already the saying is that Sasha is the only champion in the WWE who can't defend her title, at all.

These speculations were supported by Dave Meltzer in the recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio who indicated that there was no point of crowning Sasha with the title if the creative was willing to take it away. This clearly reflects the officials are not in her favor and wants to kill her character.

These are Meltzer's quotes courtesy stillrealtous.com,

“I mean I was like when she hit that DDT I was like 'she’s gotta get her foot on the ropes.’ When she got pinned it was just like — you did this whole storyline burying her saying she can’t defend her title and then she doesn’t defend her title — she doesn’t even have an excuse as to why she didn’t defend her title.”

Previously this year, the same was done to Bayley, as well who suffered big losses to Alexa Bliss that earned her several boos from the crowd despite being a babyface. At this time, Sasha is expected to face the same consequence from the audience.

As for now, the champion, Alexa Bliss is expected to continue her championship reign since she is the favorite of the crowd as well as the creative team. Her next feud is going to be against Nia Jax as we witnessed on Raw. The match will be made official for the No Mercy PPV, supposedly.
