Bengaluru, Feb 6: At this time, the reigning Universal champion of the WWE, Kevin Owens is without his next opponent.
He faced Braun Strowman, last week in an impromptu matchup which was disqualified after Roman Reigns interfered into it putting the mountain among men down.
The PPV is set to take place on March 5th at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
As per the earlier reports, Goldberg is confirmed for the PPV. WWE has not announced it officially but the venue of the event has started selling tickets with Goldberg on the match card.
Going by the rumour mill, he will be featuring in the main event of the event. Although, we do not know in which capacity he will be included in the near future.
According to a recent report by Dave Meltzer, the next opponent for Kevin Owens is going to be none other than Goldberg.
On an episode of Wrestling Observer radio, he said that KO will be defending his championship against the Myth at Fastlane.
The rumours suggest that Brock Lesnar will be a surprising element on that night to create a distraction for the Myth.
He will cost Goldberg the championship opportunity to set up the final match-up between them at Wrestlemania.
On the other hand, Meltzer also said that there are slight chances that Goldberg vs. Lesnar might be contested for a championship match considering that WWE is not keen to send KO as the champion at Mania.
So, in this case, Goldberg might become the next universal champion for a short course. This is due to the huge support from the crowd to the returning one.
Meanwhile, we are scheduled to hear from Goldberg on this week's Raw. Brock Lesnar made a challenge to him for a final match at Wrestlemania.
He will appear on the show set to take place in Portland to answer the challenge. This appearance might clear WWE's future planning regarding him.
