New Delhi, Dec 9: One of the main events of this past week’s Smackdown Live witnessed AJ Styles competing in a handicap match. His opponents were the Singh Brothers.

The mentor for the duo, Jinder Mahal was also present at the ringside area and went on to provide them the upper-hand. So, even before the match started, he attacked the WWE Champion.

Being a fighting champion, a hurt Styles competed in the matchup, as per schedule. Despite getting the beatdown, he took control of the match and was able to hit the Styles Clash from the second rope and emerge as the winner. This made his opponent at Clash of Champions, furious.

So, Jinder Mahal wasted no time to go for another attack on AJ Styles after the match. But, the champion decided to walk away. This left him in the ring with the Singh Brothers.

To deliver a massive statement to Styles, the former champion attacked his protégés with his finishing moves. Both, Samir and Sunil Singh suffered the Cobra Clutch Slam from their mentor.

This led to the rumors that the alliance between these three might be coming to an end, sooner. From the beginning of Jinder Mahal getting a push on Smackdown Live, Singh Brothers have been his shadow and an integral part of his 169-day WWE Championship reign. But, all good things must come to an end and it is no exception, either.

The India-natives were previously known as the Bollywood Boys before getting under the wings of the Modern-Day Maharaja. This was a creative planning to keep the Indian champion, protected. But, now that the reign is over and with the Wrestlemania season approaching, there are fewer chances that Jinder will regain his title, a separation might be unavoidable.

In an interview with Chris Jericho, Singh Brothers admitted the fact that one day, they are bound to go a separate way. Check out the quotes,

"Right now, we understand our spot. We've got to bump well. We've got to sell well obviously, we've got to realize that the lifespan of something like this is not forever. We were brought up [to the main roster] for a specific reason, to help Jinder.

And eventually, it's going to be 'you guys have to part with him.' It's going to happen, so for us, we know we have that Bollywood thing in the back pocket. Its kind of like it could be brand spanking new. It [has] never been done on cable television."
