WWE Rumour: John Cena not taking retirement anytime soon
Bengaluru, Feb 17: Ever since John Cena has transitioned into a role of a part-timer, there has been major speculation over the fact whether this means the demise of his career. In addition, there were a number of injuries that kept him shelved for the past few years which fuelled up this even more.
Top 5 rumours of the week
However, he came back in the WWE with a bang challenging AJ Styles for the WWE championship. Later, he tied the record of Ric Flair's 16th World championship reign by winning the title from Styles in a classic match.

So, being back on the main event scene, the latest rumours from WWE grapevine suggests that he is not taking retirement anytime, soon. The franchise has sat down for an interview with "ESPN" where he stated that there's no plan of quitting wrestling inside the squared circle. There were his statements:
"I am far from retiring. I feel like I am at my physical best. I don't think it's any secret to anybody that this is what I love to do the most and I am far from over.
A lot of folks in the WWE say that maybe I am past my prime and have lost a step and that creates a giant chip on my shoulder. I want to showcase to everyone watching that I am still the best."
It's true that a majority of the superstars from the WWE locker room questioned Cena's leadership on the Smackdown brand since he was busy for commitment outside the WWE.
But, whenever he was back, he gave us some A matches that surely belong to the Match of the Year category. Besides, he was also a true ambassador for the company while being away from it by featuring on shows like "Saturday Night Live", "ESPY" and more.
So, quite obviously he is eyeing for a big match at this year's Wrestlemania. He took the backseat for the last couple of years and now is willing to put up a spectacular performance at the grandest stage of them all as per his quotes: "I am healthy, I feel great and after taking a back seat last year, I just want to perform for the WWE Universe on our biggest day."
