Bengaluru, August 1: Ever since his return to the WWE, last year, Shane McMahon has been used as an added attraction for the bigger PPVs. He wrestled in three matches starting from 2016 in the dual brand events and might intend to do the same at the upcoming Summerslam event as well.

As expected, this leads us to his probable opponent for the event. The reports are suggesting that none other than the former United States Champion on Smackdown Live, Kevin Owens is going to be the one to be pitted against him.

The rumour was first broken by 'cagesideseats.com' who suggested that a possible feud between Owens and McMahon is being planned. This will lead to a big matchup for the biggest event of the summer. The bout will go down as a bonus match from Smackdown Live.

This lineup is something fresh and the WWE Universe will surely like it. Owens is considered as the bonafide heel on the brand whereas Shane is an all-time favorite. So, the bout will be more than interesting and could feature in the Summerslam match card.



The storyline for the same has already started with McMahon forcing Owens to defend his US title in a triple threat match. This ended badly for the champion as he lost the match and surrendered his newly won title at Battleground.

Owens was furious with this decision once the match concluded and demanded a rematch against AJ Styles for the title. He was granted the same but is not likely to regain the prestigious prize again. Instead, after losing the match, he went on to blame the Smackdown commissioner for his loss.

Shane-O-Mac does not back down from any challenge and this time too he will confront Owens like a man. This will culminate the match at Summerslam. In case you have missed they already had teased the feud by featuring in a backstage segment, as given above.

Wrestlemania 33 marked Shane's last outing inside the squared circle. On that night, he featured in a match against AJ Styles. Despite stealing the show with his high flying moves, he came up short. Hopefully, this time he will be able to outsmart the prizefighter pitted against him.
