WWE: Shocking match for Charlotte Flair cancelled at Wrestlemania 34

New Delhi, Nov 25: WWE comes up with surprising booking to shock the world, quite often. The uncertainty is an integral part of WWE TV programming that makes the program exciting for us.
At this time, we are getting reports that suggest Charlotte Flair was supposed to have an inter-gender match at Wrestlemania 34. His opponent at the show would have been none other than James Ellsworth.
Just a few days earlier, Ellsworth has been released from his WWE contract. His one-year deal with the company was said to be over and the officials decided not to renew it. As a result, we will not see him by the side of Miss Money in the Bank, Carmella on Smackdown.
The Chinless Wonder in the WWE was doing a fantastic job. So, at times, the officials of Smackdown Live were quite high on him until now when the management decided to cut all the ties with him. If the reports from John McKenna from pro-wrestling sheet is to be believed then he was going to be involved in a championship match at Wrestlemania 34.
According to the source, James Ellsworth was originally scheduled to face Charlotte Flair at the showcase of immortals. The match would have been contested for the Smackdown women’s title. None other than Vince McMahon himself was pushing for the program.
This storyline was sketched in this year’s August when Ellsworth was doing a fantastic job for Carmella. He was the sole reason why she became the Money in the Bank briefcase holder.
At one point, the creative heads even thought of letting him use the contract and became the women’s champion, as well. Check out further updates from the source (courtesy stillrealtous.com)
“The goal was to get to Charlotte vs. Ellsworth at Mania for the Women’s Championship. How they were going to get there is a much wilder tale. We’re talking about as recent as August, these were pretty much plans they had in place. Long story short, it was to make Ellsworth trans.”
If this planning was to go by then Ellsworth would have been transformed himself into a female wrestler, as well! Although, this angle seems crazy, no wonder it could fetch the attention from the fans being a unique one. But, all of those were scrapped with Ellsworth getting released from WWE contract.
