WWE SmackDown: Championship Contender’s Match And More Added To September 27 Episode

WWE SmackDown had a tag team match on the card for last night's episode that was supposed to determine the new number-one contender for the Women's Championship held by Nia Jax but no specific outcome was declared through it.

In a Tornado Tag Team Match, Bayley and Naomi defeated WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax and Ms. Money In The Bank Tiffany Stratton. The stipulation of the match stated the pin-fall gainer would earn the title match opportunity.

However, the match finish saw Jax planting Bayley with a Samoan Drop just after which both Bayley and Naomi rolled her up to secure double pin counts as the referee awarded both of them with the victory.

Had Bayley or Naomi would digest a pinfall, they would have been forced to leave SmackDown but in a changed circumstance, they'd rather lock horns, next week to capture the title contender's position.

In a backstage segment, WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis booked Bayley vs. Naomi for the next episode with the winner of the match going after Nia Jax's Women's Championship at the 2024 Bad Blood premium live event.

Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes will continue their feud by featuring in another singles match on SmackDown. The sixth bout in the ongoing series between the two current rivals was officially announced during this week's episode.

In the opening match of SmackDown, LA Knight (c) defeated Andrade to retain the United States Championship. The latter earned this title match opportunity, last week after defeating Hayes in a contender's match in the first place.

Hence, in a backstage segment, Hayes mocked Andrade for the loss to LA Knight and told him to put the fries in the bag because he's washed. This led to a brawl with each other as the upcoming match was also booked.

Andrade currently has the 3-2 advantage in the series. He won the first two matches on July 19 and August 2, and the fifth bout on the September 13 SmackDown while Hayes won two in a row on August 16 and August 30.

WWE SmackDown September 27 episode takes place at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and it will be the penultimate episode before the Bad Blood premium live event having the following match card:
