An eventful episode of WWE SmackDown went down this week from the All-State Arena in Chicago, Illinois where Drew McIntyre was present to ruin CM Punk's homecoming. Plus, the new version of The Bloodline led by Solo Sikoa continued to grow strength.
Punk kicked off last night's SmackDown with a promo with his focus firmly remaining on McIntyre. Paul Heyman interrupted Punk as he wanted to warn Punk to leave the arena or else they would be coming after him.

The Bloodline eventually arrived at the ramp and threatened Punk, only to be berated by him on the mic. As they approached to take him out, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes appeared in the ring with a baseball bat to make the save.
About 30 minutes later on SmackDown, backstage footage aired which showed that CM Punk was laid out in a busted open state, thanks to an assault by Drew McIntyre who was back for vengeance after "quitting" WWE on Raw.
McIntyre put Punk on his shoulders and carried him to the stage before dropping him on the floor. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis got into Drew's way to stop him. Afterward, Punk was put on a stretcher to be taken to a hospital.
After what transpired in the opening segment of SmackDown, WWE booked Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa in the main event segment in a non-title bout. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens had Cody's back for this showdown.
Rhodes won the match against Solo via DQ after Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa attacked the WWE Champion. As expected, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens ran out and took out the two Tongans.
Cody, Randy, and Kevin corned Solo who started laughing. Jacob Fatu, the newest member of The Bloodline then made his WWE debut by attacking the trio babyfaces from behind and destroying them on his own.
Fatu (The son of The Tonga Kid and cousin to Solo Sikoa and The Usos) then posed with The Bloodline, doing the one finger in the air pose alongside Sikoa, Tonga, and Loa to affirm his alignment with the faction to close SmackDown.
