Jacob Fatu's strong status on WWE television remains intact during his return on SmackDown, this week as he's decimated Roman Reigns by the end of the show to ensure that the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline stands strong.
In a backstage segment on SmackDown, Sikoa emphasized the fact that he's The Tribal Chief, but if Roman Reigns could take the Ula Fala away from him then he would have no problem acknowledging Roman as The Tribal Chief once again.

Then in the main event segment of SmackDown, Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga came out to the ring. Sikoa told the fans as well as Roman to acknowledge him. He further noted that Roman should come there and take the Ula Fala from him.
Roman came out and laid out Sikoa with a flying clothesline. Tama attacked Roman but he was downed with a Rock Bottom! Putting on the Ula Fala around his neck, Roman was clearing the announce table to put Tonga through it.
Sikoa tried to stop him as Fatu came out wearing a walking boot. After a superkick, Fatu hit Roman with a running hip attack in the corner. Fatu, Sikoa, and Tonga then gave him a triple powerbomb onto the announcer's table to end SmackDown.
After staying out of action for four months since WrestleMania XL, Roman Reigns returned to the WWE at the end of SummerSlam two weeks ago and took out Sikoa to allow Cody Rhodes to retain the WWE Title.
Then on last week's episode of SmackDown, The Original Tribal chief again came out at the end of the show to single-handedly take out Sikoa's Bloodline, including Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa while Fatu was nowhere to be found.
Follow-up reports claimed that Fatu was strategically kept aside so that he didn't have to sell to Roman. Fatu also reportedly suffered a tweaked foot before Reigns made his return at SummerSlam which forced him to wear the walking boot.
But now with this imminent return of Fatu on SmackDown, it's assumed that WWE wants to put him in a showcase match against Roman. There's no update on the whereabouts of this match but this week's attack should keep Roman away from TV for the time being.
