WWE Smackdown Live full results with video highlights: August 8, 2017

Bengaluru, August 9: Smackdown Live was able to deliver an impactful episode en route to the biggest event of the summer. The bigger matches for Summerslam from the blue brand were already announced. Hence, the hype around them were increased on the show.
Here are the results from the show hosted by the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The show opened with John Cena coming to the ring to discuss about the dream match from last week. His promo was cut short by Baron Corbin who came out with a new music.
After a verbal confrontation, the general manager decided to interrupt to make a match between Cena and Corbin official at Summerslam.
The Usos competed in a tag team match against Sami Zayn and Tye Dillnger defeating them in a dominant fashion. Aftermath, they cut a heel promo which was interrupted by the returning New Day. They sought redemption on their Summerslam opponents as the Usos decided to retreat.
On her demand, Lana received a match against Charlotte Flair. The ravishing Russian went on to insult Charlotte with a couple of slaps to the face. Then she also pushed 'The Queen' into the crowd.
A furious Charlotte came back into the contest. She connected with a big boot and the figure four submission hold to pick up the win.
Carmella squared off against the women's champion, Naomi in a singles match. The latter one was in control until James Ellsworth showed up from the crowd to provide the distraction. This allowed the Money in the Bank briefcase holder to connect with a superkick for the win.
At backstage, Natalya confronted both Carmella and Ellsworth gloating about her championship opportunity at Summerslam. She wished that Carmella should not ruin her moment at the event.
Also, Lana and Tamina had a conversation where the latter one wished to get herself into yet another title opportunity.
Shane McMahon had a confrontation with AJ Styles and Kevin Owens inside the ring. Owens pointed out the fact that why the commissioner should not be the guest referee at Summerslam.
The conversation ended up in a brawl with Styles hitting McMahon with a Pele Kick. Owens left the ring with a smile on his face.
Shinsuke Nakamura was present in an interview conducted by Renee Young in the backstage. He was expressing joy of defeating John Cena last week. He vowed to capture the WWE Championship and begin the Nakamura dynasty on Smackdown.
In the main event of the night, Randy Orton had a grudge match against Jinder Mahal with the Singh Brothers banned from ringside. The Viper took redemption for his previous losses against the champion by pinning him on the back of a RKO.
After the match, his celebration was cut short by his Summerslam opponent, Rusev. He connected with a superkick to put Orton down and close the week's edition of Smackdown.
