WWE Smackdown Live preview and schedule: August 1, 2017

Bengaluru, August 1: There was a certain fan backlash over the outcomes of the Battleground PPV. But, Smackdown Live managed to come up with an impactful episode last week to shut them up.

A blockbuster return and a championship change pulled on the ratings for the Tuesday Night show as we head towards the Summerslam PPV.

Tonight, we are set to witness a dream main event match for the first-time ever with bigger stakes. The episode will emanate from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Live streaming of the episode will be available on Ten 1 Network on August 2 from 5.30 AM onwards. The repeat telecast will be shown at 5 PM and 10 PM on Ten 1 Network, tomorrow. (August 2)

The stakes for tonight's episode of Smackdown can't get any bigger than this considering two of the most legendary superstars from pro-wrestling industry will lock horns.

It will be John Cena Vs Shinsuke Nakamura with the stipulation that the winner will get to face the WWE Champion at Summerslam. This dream match will steal the show for sure.

As far as the outcome goes, John Cena is still finalized as Jinder Mahal's opponent at the biggest event of the summer. So, he is the favorite one to win this contest.

We can expect Baron Corbin to make his presence felt creating a distraction to Nakamura and allow the franchise player to headline Summerslam.

Apart from this one, there will be the third edition of AJ Styles Vs Kevin Owens match for the United States title. Owens has invoked his rematch clause and been granted.

However, it is not likely that he will win back the championship. The loss will force him to blame Shane McMahon beginning a new feud.

The rivalry between The Usos and The New Day is definitely not over after the champions received a blindsided attack last week. So, we expect to hear from the tag champs offering a rematch for the challengers in order to make another huge match up on August 20th.



Naomi and Natalya's rivalry has not come to an end till today. So, we can expect a physical altercation between these two over the title. There will be a tag team match between the team of Naomi and Becky Lynch against Natalya and Carmella.

It will also be interesting to see if Randy Orton does return to the show to address The Great Khali's attack during the Punjabi Prison match. A singles match between Chad Gable and Rusev has also been added to the card.
