Bengaluru, February 27: With just two weeks left to the WWE Fastlane PPV and a huge fatal-5-way championship match being its focal point, things are getting heated up in WWE Smackdown Live.

Last week, three huge championship matches were announced to add the all needed hype for the upcoming Smackdown exclusive PPV event in March.

Things are likely to continue in the same direction as Smackdown will be hosted in a bigger venue, this week as the blue brand is going to Hollywood as the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California play hosts to the event.

Smackdown Live will be telecasted live in India on Wednesday (February 28) from 6.30 AM onwards via the Sony Ten 1 Network in English and Sony Ten 3 network in Hindi, while later in the day the repeat will go on air at 5 PM and 10 PM on the same network.

Tonight, the show is being headlined by the return of John Cena who moves to the Blue brand to find an opportunity for Wrestlemania. We will learn about his new opponent whom he is likely to face at Fastlane PPV. Check out WWE.com confirming this appearance,

“Last night on Raw, the 16-time World Champion revealed that while he may not have a way into WrestleMania through the red brand, he believes the door is wide open on SmackDown LIVE. The free agent has vowed to show up tonight, but how does Cena plan on getting to WrestleMania? Find out tonight on SmackDown LIVE at 8/7 C on USA Network!”

Last week, AJ Styles returned to 'the house that he built’ to add hype to the championship scenario. He had a huge win in the main event against Baron Corbin to close the show. But, it was the Lone Wolf who stole the spotlight by standing tall in the middle of the ring after he resisted an ambush from Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

It is interesting to see stars like The Lone Wolf getting a spot in the main event scene. The same can be said for Dolph Ziggler, too, who returned to action, two weeks ago. Tonight, Baron Corbin will receive another opportunity to beat the hell out of Sami Zayn after the attack he suffered on the February 13th episode.

The United States Championship picture has been heating up for the last few weeks. Randy Orton and Bobby Roode were announced for a championship match at WWE Fastlane. However, Daniel Bryan was not happy with Shane McMahon sanctioning this match as he was willing to give Jinder Mahal an opportunity.

Hence, we can expect that the GM will insert the Modern-day Maharaja into the mix to make it a triple threat title match. This, in turn, will help to continue the rift between the two authority figures of the blue brand en route to Wrestlemania.

The other title match confirmed last week was between Charlotte Flair and Ruby Riott. The latter one picked up the pinfall in last week’s tag team match to gain huge confidence. So, the Riott Squad will continue to target the champion to keep the momentum. Tonight, Ruby Riott will take on Naomi in a singles competition.

The number one contenders for the tag team championships were also declared in the form of The New Day. So, they will renew their rivalry against The Usos, again. Meanwhile, The Bludgeon Brothers will keep a close eye on them to try and get an opportunity for the championships.
