WWE Smackdown Live preview & schedule: September 5, 2017

Bengaluru, September 5: Every week, WWE Smackdown comes up with unique concepts to give us better shows, the huge gap between Summerslam and Hell in a Cell is already being felt.
This is the very reason why the show sometimes feels to be directionless at this point. We have six more weeks to go before the next blue brand PPV arrives.
Meanwhile, tonight we will witness yet another dream match as the main event in the show that will be hosted by Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The live telecast of the show will be available on Sony Ten 1 Network from 5.30 AM IST onwards. The repeat telecast will be aired on Sony Ten 1 Network at 5 PM and 10 PM IST, tomorrow. (September 6)
Smackdown has made it a tradition in recent times to host some of the matches that we thought we would never see. Such a match will be contested tonight to determine the new number one contender for the WWE Championship. Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura will lock horns for the spot for the first-time ever.
The ongoing feud between Nakamura and Jinder Mahal is far from over. While, Orton has already had a lengthy feud with Jinder for the entire post-Wrestlemania season. Hence, Nakamura is the favorite to walk out as the winner and set up another WWE title match at the next PPV.
Also, after what transpired in last week's main event, it is certain that the bad blood between Rusev and Orton is far from over. So, the Bulgarian Brute might try to deliver yet another assault from the back to make the build up for their potential matchup.
Another match was announced for this show between Natalya and Carmella. This will be a chance for the champion to build some momentum before she defends her title for the very first time next week against Naomi. Nattie is having the momentum on her side right now and is beleived to continue the same.
The next feud for AJ Styles has been made clear in the form of Baron Corbin. The bad luck of the Lone Wolf is still continuing to haunt him as he had a failed attempt to attack Styles last week. This week, he might try to do the same again as the champion will look to issue yet another US title open challenge.
The Usos won their match against New Day last week, which gave the opportunity to choose the stipulation for the title rematch. Tonight, they might reveal the stipulation. Plus, Bobby Roode is expected to start his first rivalry on the main roster against Dolph Ziggler.
