WWE Smackdown Live results with video highlights: April 25, 2017

Bengaluru, April 26: A first-time main event between Charlotte and the women's champion Naomi was all set to take place on last night's (April 25) Smackdown Live.

Also, this marked the final build-up for the WWE championship match at the Payback PPV. The episode was hosted at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

The night kicked off with an interview with Shinsuke Nakamura. The crowd gave him huge pop, as expected. The segment got cut with Dolph Ziggler cutting him off and blasting him with harsh words. Ziggler hit him with a kick to the stomach. Nakamura fired back but the show-off ran away.

AJ Styles and Baron Corbin squared off in a rematch from last week which saw interference from Kevin Owens. However, a quick roll up handed Styles the victory. Owens and Corbin delivered a two-on-one attack on Styles. Sami Zayn ran down to make the save. But, Owens still stood tall after delivering a powerbomb to the Phenomenal One.



Rusev appeared on the tron to demand a title match at the Money in the Bank PPV. If he's not given one then he will not perform at Smackdown Live.



A beat the clock challenge was arranged to determine the number one contender for the tag team champions, The Usos. The American Alpha defeated the Colons in 5:17. Later, the team Breezango defeated the Ascension beating the time and officially becoming the challengers for the Usos.



Randy Orton defeated Eric Rowan in an exciting No Disqualification contest. The WWE champion delivered an RKO to pick up the win. Following the win, he addressed Bray Wyatt and this Sunday's House of Horrors match.



Jinder Mahal interrupted and beat down Orton with the help of the debuting Singh Brothers aka Bollywood Boyz. They ran away with the WWE title in a limousine.



The main event of Smackdown Live witnessed a championship match between Naomi and Charlotte. After a back and forth going, the newly formed team of Natalya, Carmella and Tamina attacked both of them.



Both the title match competitors tried to resist but the self-proclaimed “Welcoming Committee" took upper-hand via the number game. They laid down both Charlotte and Naomi before leaving the ring and close Smackdown Live.
