WWE Smackdown Live results with video highlights: April 4

Orlando, April 5: This was the first edition of Smackdown Live after the 'Show of Shows' at Citrus Bowl.

The fans expected massive fallouts from last Sunday's Wrestlemania. The episode took place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

Here are the results from the night:

The new WWE champion, Randy Orton kicked off the night with mixed reactions from the crowd. He was interrupted by Bray Wyatt who challenged him into a House of Horrors match, in the near future.

Wyatt then appeared in the ring to deliver a blindside attack on Orton with Eric Rowan by his side. Luke Harper ran down to the ring to provide some back up to the champion.

This set up a tag team main event for the night with Orton-Harper teaming up against Wyatt-Rowan.

Naomi defended her Smackdown women's title in a rematch claimed by Alexa Bliss. This was a short contest in which Naomi locked in her new submission manoeuvre to make Alexa tap out and retain the title.



Curt Hawkins issued an open challenge to any of the superstar present in the locker room. Tye Dillinger from NXT accepted it and showed up to the delight of the crowd. He defeated Hawkins by hitting his pendant maneuver, Tye-breaker.



The Miz and Maryse showed op on Smackdown dressed as John Cena and Nikki Bella. They talked usual trash about the newly engaged before leaving the ring.



In the meantime, a violin player arrived on the ramp and Shinsuke Nakamura's music started to play. The former NXT champion officially debuted on the blue brand with a huge pop from the crowd.



A brutal street fight contest took place between Dean Ambrose and Baron Corbin. Interestingly, Corbin pinned clean the Intercontinental champion by hitting the End of Days.



Shane McMahon addressed the superstar shake-up announced by Vince McMahon. AJ Styles showed up on the show stating that Shane has earned his respect as a competitor. After having a verbal confrontation, Styles left the ring.



In the main event, Orton and Harper defeated Wyatt and Rowan. Harper connected with a superkick to Rowan and Orton followed it with an RKO to pick up the win. The show closed with Harper and Orton celebrating.
