WWE Smackdown Live results with video highlights: February 6, 2018

Bengaluru, February 7: Two huge matches were announced for last night's Smackdown Live with the first match being the one to finalize the main event of the Fastlane PPV in March and the other to decide the fate of the United States Championship.
Here are the results from last night's show hosted by the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The show opened with Shane McMahon who came to the ring to add hype to the main event of Smackdown live between two very good friends, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
Daniel Bryan also joined Shane to reveal why he announced the match between the two best friends. The pair were soon interupted by AJ Styles who stated that he will still be the champion until Wrestlemania no matter what.
Next up, Charlotte Flair took on Liv Morgan to open Smackdown. Liv Morgan was accompanied to the ring by The Riott Squad who continued to interfere in the match. Charlotte hit a spear on Sarah Logan to put her down after which the referee banned all the squad members from ringside. After which, Charlotte locked in the Figure Eight to pick up the win via submission.
Later in a squash match, The Bludgeon Brothers defeated two local talents. And as they were walking out of the ring, they had another confrontation with The Usos which indicates of a potential feud. However, The Usos just walked past the Blundgeon Bros and cut a strong promo on their title reign.
In another tag team match, the Ascension were defeated by the team of Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable.
Daniel Bryan disclosed the top 10 list of Smackdown superstar in a segment. Here it is,
#10: Tye Dillinger
#9: Randy Orton
#8: Becky Lynch

In the United States Championship match, Bobby Roode had an interesting fight against Rusev. The challenger delivered a big kick to Roode's head but the champ soon kicked out of the pin. After that, Roode countered an Accolade and hit a Glorious DDT to win the contest.
While he was celebrating, Randy Orton appeared to hit everybody standing inside the ring with RKOs to put them down.
In the main event, the number one contender's match for the WWE Championship was quite entertaining with AJ Styles sitting at the commentary table. Both, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn pulled out all stops. Owens hit the frog splash off the top rope and Zayn connected with the Blue Thunder Bomb but failed to get the pinfall.
In the heat of the moment, both of them got into the face of the champion who struck both of them to disqualify the match. Daniel Bryan came out after the match to announce that the Fastlane main event will now be a triple threat match for the WWE title involving Styles, Owens and Zayn.
