WWE Smackdown Live results with video highlights: March 6, 2018

Bengaluru, March 7: It was the ultimate edition of Smackdown Live show before the WWE Fastlane PPV event where three matches were confirmed, earlier to add hype to this episode.
In one of the matches, the former WWE Champion Randy Orton was scheduled to face another former champ, the Modern-day Maharaja Jinder Mahal at the RESCH Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Check out how the show transpired:
An interview segment kicked off Smackdown Live hosted by Dasha Fuentes with Charlotte Flair as her guest, but the interview never took place as The Queen was interupted by the Riott Squad even before the talking began.
The challenger for the women's championship Ruby Riott then cut a strong promo on how Charlotte would be a failure at Fastlane PPV. A heated fight was about to begin but was stopped when Bobby Roode came out.
Roode joined the announce table for the opening match on Smackdown between Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton, where Mahal's accomplices who were at ringside tried to distract Orton. Orton to countee the distraction sent Sunil Singh into Bobby Roode to start chaos around the ring. This allowed Mahal to connect with the Cobra Clutch Slam on Orton to pick up a huge victory.
Next up, Carmella competed on WWE TV after a long time against Becky Lynch. She was in control of the contest for the early part by locking in the scissors submission move. But, the Irish Lass-kicker came back in the contest by connecting with the exploder suplex and followed it with the arm-bar to make her opponent tap.
After the matchup, Naomi confronted Natalya who was upset over the loss of her friend. This set up another match at Fastlane where Natalya and Carmella are set to face Becky Lynch and Naomi.
In a cutscene promo, Nakamura had a confrontation with Rusev and Aiden English at backstage area to set up a singles match at the Fastlane PPV.
Later, the champ AJ Styles came down to the ring to cut a promo on his Fastlane title match where all the odds are stacked against him. He was soon joined by one of his opponent from Fastlane, Dolph Ziggler who came down to the ring to start a singles match.
But, the pair were attacked by two other competitors of the WWE title match, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to result in disqualification of the exhibition match.
This resulted in Shane McMahon booking a fatal-5-way match with the contestants of the Fastlane main event, AJ Styles vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Baron Corbin. Sami Zayn picked up a huge win by connecting with the Helluva Kick on his friend Kevin Owens. He cut a strong promo for Fastlane to end this week's Smackdown Live.
