Bengaluru, March 14: Last night's edition of Smackdown Live was filled with the fallouts from the Fastlane PPV event. We expected to see a huge announcement from Shane McMahon about a Wrestlemania match and we were also set to witness Asuka make her first appearance on the blue brand.

Plus, a confrontation between the WWE Champion AJ Styles and his callenger Shinsuke Nakamura was also lined up on the show hosted by the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Just like we felt Smackdown Live kicked off with the entry of the Champ AJ Styles, who received a standing ovation from the crowd. The audience chanted 'you deserve it' when he mentioned that he is headed to Wrestlemania with the WWE Championship around his waist.

As expected, his promo was interrupted by Shinsuke Nakamura who talked about his destiny to connect his knees to the face of Styles and win the WWE championship at Wrestlemania.

This segment was cut short by Rusev and Aiden English who came down to the ring for a match. The Bulgarian Brute squared off against AJ Styles in the opening contest. The WWE Champion was in firm control of the match. He locked in the Calf Crusher on his opponent to submit him for the win.

But, Rusev's ally English, who was at ringside interfered to disqualify the match. Styles received a beatdown before Nakamura saved him by putting the two heels away with Kinshasa.

The New Day and The Usos were frustrated as their tag team title match at Fastlane ended in disqualification due to Bludgeon Brothers' attack. So, Big E and Jimmy Uso teamed up on Smackdown Live to seek vengeance. But, their efforts fell short as Harper and Rowan squashed them on the way to victory with a powerbomb. After the match, another attack was delivered to Big E and Jimmy.

Later, Asuka showed up on Smackdown Live for the first time ever, while Charlotte Flair was waiting for her inside the ring. The Queen talked about being the benchmark performer of the female roster who has defended her title around the world. The streak-holder gave a short reply which stated, "Asuka bows to no one. Because no one is ready for Asuka” to end the segment.

Next up, the new US champion Randy Orton cut a promo about his victory at Fastalne and also about him heading to Wrestlemania with a title around his waist. He joined theannounce table for the match between Bobby Roode and Jinder Mahal. Sunil Singh was present in Jinder's corner and provided the distraction to Roode which allowed Jinder to connect with the Khallas. This earned the Maharaja another victory for two consecutive weeks. After the match, Orton floored Mahal with an RKO.

Carmella had a match against Naomi. The high-flyer went for a top rope move but got caught by Carmella. The Money in the Bank briefcase holder rolled her opponent to pick up an easy win.

In the final segment, Shane McMahon came out to make a Wrestlemania announcement. The Smackdown commissioner stated that Kevin Owens will take on Sami Zayn at the biggest event of the year and he also announced that from next week, he will be on an indefinite leave.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn came down to the ring and delivered a hellacious assault to the commissioner of the Smackdown. EMT came out to carry Shane McMahon to the backstage as the show ended.
