Bengaluru, November 22: The tensions around the authority figures of Smackdown Live were expected to be on an all-time high after they lost the team battle at Survivor Series.

We expected to see huge fall outs from the PPV on last night’s edition and also, a Championship match for the show hosted by the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Shane McMahon kicked off this week’s Smackdown with a brief of what happened on Survivor Series. He admitted how his team came up short before he called out Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

The duo laid their hands on the commissioner on Sunday and hence Shane wanted to fire them. In the meantime, Daniel Bryan showed up in the ring to interrupt and book a match between Zayn-Owens and The New Day with all the superstars surrounding the ring in a lumberjack match.

During the commercial break, three superstars, Liv Morgan, Ruby Riot and Sarah Logan made their debut on Smackdown Live. Naomi was seen getting ready for the night where the trio went right after the former champion to knock her out in the backstage area. Becky Lynch ran down to save Naomi but was soon outnumbered to receive a beatdown herself.



Next up, AJ Styles was out in the middle to talk on his match against Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series. Jinder Mahal showed up on the screen with a demand for his championship rematch at the Clash of Champions PPV.

During the conversation, The Singh Brothers jumped inside the ring to attack Styles. But, the champion fought back valiantly and hit the Styles Clash on Samir Singh.

Later on the show, Jey Uso had a singles match against Shelton Benjamin with Chad Gable at ringside. Gable caused a distraction for Shelton to connect with the Paydirt to pick up a big win against one half of the tag champs.

The Bludgeon Brothers made their debut on the show, as well having a match against The Hype Bros. They pick a quick win with double powerbomb finishing maneuver.

Next up, Charlotte Flair and Natalya squared off in a Smackdown Women’s Championship rematch. The Queen was looking to finish off the contest by hitting a spear before the trio of Ruby, Liv and Sarah showed up and attacked Natalya to disqualify the match.

The NXT superstars sure made their presence felt once again by attacking both the participants of the match and left them laying on the mat.

As per earlier announcement, in the main event of Smackdown Live, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were involved in a Lumberjack match against The New Day. The entire roster was outside the ring ensuing a proper brawl between the two teams. A distraction allowed Sami to capitalize by rolling up Kofi Kingston to get the pinfall win.





Zayn, however, suffered a beatdown at the hands of The New Day after the match. Kevin Owens escaped to the backstage area where Daniel Bryan informed that Randy Orton will be his opponent, next week and thats how the show closed this week.
