Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and Kevin Owens had an exciting one-on-one encounter in their first-ever matchup. Despite hitting a 619 and keeping his opponent off balance, the quick Mysterio was unable to secure the victory in his hometown. Owens won the fight by hitting a Pop Up Powerbomb after enduring the famous Mysterio's onslaught.

After the match, Owens attempted to hit Mysterio with a Package Piledriver, but WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came down to the ring to make the save as the duo engaged in a massive brawl with his Royal Rumble opponent.

In the main event, Tiffany Stratton retained the WWE Women's Championship, seeing off the former champion Bayley, who fought hard while Roxanne Perez of NXT, the challenger's newest foe, watched from ringside. To retain the belt, the champion took advantage of a tiny gap to take down Bayley and executed the Prettiest Moonsault Ever.
