Starting from October 2019, WWE SmackDown had its home on the FOX Network for five years and it wraps with one final airing, tonight. Before the shift, the second longest-running WWE TV program is expected to make a big championship match announcement.
As noted this past Monday night on Raw, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes was announced for a segment on SmackDown where he will respond to Solo Sikoa's challenge for a title rematch.

Many believe that this challenge will eventually set up the title bout between the top babyface figure of the WWE and the current Bloodline leader for the next premium live event of the company, Bad Blood in early October.
However, reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa II for the WWE Title isn't planned for next month's PLE from Atlanta, Georgia, and that this match has been preponed.
The current plan seems to be an Undisputed Title match that will go down on the September 13 episode of WWE SmackDown, which will mark the season premiere of the show on the USA Network moving on from FOX.
Last week on SmackDown, a video featuring Sikoa aired where he mentioned that he will be the next in line for a shot to the WWE Championship. Then at Bash in Berlin, Cody retained the title against Kevin Owens.
A grudge match between Bayley and Tiffany Stratton will also be there on SmackDown, tonight. WWE announced the match lineup, last night through a video posted by the General Manager of the blue brand, Nick Aldis.
On the August 30 episode, Bayley returned to WWE programme for the first time since dropping the WWE Women's Championship to Nia Jax at SummerSlam and attacked Stratton who was trying to help Jax in her title bout against Michin.
WWE SmackDown September 6 episode takes place at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where The Bloodline will also be seen in action in a tag team match. The announced match card for the show is given below:
