After a gap of three months, AJ Styles will show up on WWE programming on next week's episode of SmackDown which will be the final episode before the returning Bad Blood premium live event.
The announcement came through a hype-video package that saw Styles donning his signature black attire and hood, walking backstage in the WWE. The package then showed Styles' best in-ring moments with his signature catchphrase noting, "this is still the house that AJ Styles built."

This will be the first time we will witness AJ Styles back on WWE TV since losing an I Quit match to Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle PLE in Glasgow, Scotland in June.
During this hiatus, Styles appeared once for the NOAH promotion in July for a match in Japan against Naomichi Marufuji before attending WWE's tour of Japan that same month. He also wrestled on WWE's European tour in August.
There's no update on what The Phenomenal One will be upto during this appearance but this return could be related to WWE's next PLE, Bad Blood which is emanating from Georgia, Styles' home state.
In more announcement for next week's SmackDown, The Bloodline's Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, are set to defend their WWE Tag Team Championships in a triple threat ladder match against DIY's Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano and The Street Profits' Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins.
In another new addition to the card of the show, Naomi will take on Miss Money in the Bank 20244, Tiffany Stratton to continue with her existing feud with the latter as well as the women's champion Nia Jax.
This week on SmackDown, Bayley defeated Naomi to become the new number-one contender for the women's championship and she will challenge Jax for the title at Bad Blood. Naomi was upset about the loss and she denied to shake Bayley's hand, afterward.
The go-home WWE SmackDown episode for the 2024 Bad Blood premium live event takes place, next Friday, October 4 at the Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, Tennessee and the current match card set for the show goes as follows:
