Chelsea Green has proceeded to the next round of the ongoing WWE Women's United States Championship tournament to crown the inaugural title-holder on the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown that took place at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In the opening match of the November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown, Chelsea Green defeated Blair Davenport and WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair in a Triple Threat Match to advance to the semifinal of the tournament.

During the match, cameras caught backstage that someone attacked Jade Cargill, as she was lying unconscious on the top of a car. This led to Belair leaving the match and rushing backstage in aid of her tag team partner.
Jade was further taken to a hospital, and Bianca was accompanying her. In the ring, Green survived a kick to the face by Davenport and countered with a face-buster on her for the pin-fall win.
Now that Cargill has been taken out of the equation, she won't be seen in action in the US Title tournament on next week's episode. Rather, WWE announced that a mystery wrestler will take her place.
As such, the currently remaining quarterfinal match lineups in the tourney remain as follows: a TBA replacement for Cargill vs. Michin vs. Piper Niven, and Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Elektra Lopez.
Next week's SmackDown will also witness Cody Rhodes competing in a fresh match against Carmelo Hayes. This non-title bout will go down after Hayes made a remark over Rhode's current rival Kevin Owens being correct in his propositions.
This came after Rhodes and Owens had a confrontation on SmackDown and agreed to have a future match over the WWE Championship that will happen on Owens' terms, in a rematch from Bash in Berlin in late August.
The November 29 episode of WWE SmackDown will be a taped edition from the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah where this week's edition went by. The current official match card for the show goes as follows:
