Check out the recap and results from the 2023 edition of WWE SummerSlam premium live event that took place at the Detroit Ford Field stadium in the Motor City of Detroit, Michigan:

- Logan Paul defeated Ricochet in the opening contest of SummerSlam 2023. During the finishing moments of the match, one of Logan's friends gave him Logan brass knuckles when the referee was distracted by a fallen Ricochet.

Logan eventually punched Ricochet with the knuckles to pick up the big win which is his first one since last year's SummerSlam. Ricochet's fiancée Samantha Irvin wasn't happy about how Logan cheated his way for the victory.

- Cody Rhodes defeated Brock Lesnar in the final match of their trilogy at SummerSlam. The finish of the match saw Lesnar delivering an F5, but Cody sent him chest-first into the exposed turnbuckle before applying the Kimura Lock.

Lesnar broke the hold by slamming Cody on the mat but the latter soon countered The Beast Incarnate with three back-to-back 3 Cross Rhodes for the pin-fall win. After the match, Lesnar turned babyface and hugged Cody in the ring.

- Shayna Baszler defeated Ronda Rousey via Technical Submission in an MMA Rules Match. Both women tried various submission holds on each other as Ronda passed out to the Kirifuda Clutch to end the fight at SummerSlam.

- Intercontinental Championship Match: GUNTHER (c) defeated Drew McIntyre to retain his title. The back-and-forth encounter saw GUNTHER pinning Drew with a Symphony Powerbomb to go one step closer to becoming the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time.

- World Heavyweight Championship Match: Seth Rollins (c) defeated Finn Balor to retain his title. Damian Priest tried to distract the referee by using his MITB briefcase but plans backfired as Rollins stomped Balor's head on that case for the pin-fall win.

- WWE Women's Championship Match: Bianca Belair defeated Asuka (c) and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat to win the title. Asuka spat the mist in Charlotte's face while locked in the Figure Eight submission. Bianca then rolled up Asuka to win the Title.

After the match, IYO SKY cashed in her Money in the Bank contract to become the new WWE Women's Champion. Bayley helped IYO taking out Bianca after which IYO landed with the top-rope Moonsault for the win. Dakota Kai returned from injury to celebrate with IYO.

- Tribal Combat for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and The Tribal Chief Spot: Roman Reigns (c) defeated Jey Uso in the main event of SummerSlam 2023 to retain his title and spot in the Samoan dynasty.

Roman accidentally speared Solo Sikoa who was helping him out in the match. Jey was on the verge of winning after a Spear and a Frogsplash combo when a mystery man pulled Jey out of the ring and it's revealed to be Jimmy Uso.

Jimmy superkick-ed Jey and put him back in the ring. Roman further speared Jey through a table in the corner of the ring to get the win. Roman raised his title and the Samoan garland to close out the PLE.
