Bengaluru, March 21: Former World Champion Daniel Bryan was medically cleared to resume in-ring action by leading neurosurgeons, neurologists and concussion experts, including Dr. Robert Cantu, Dr. Javier Cardenas and Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher.

Following more than two years of extensive evaluations, Bryan underwent a full review of his medical history and received comprehensive evaluations and has been medically cleared by each doctor as well as WWE's Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Maroon to wrestle again.

Bryan, who is married to fellow professional wrestler Brie Bella, was forced to make an emotional decision to retire from competition in February 2016 through the WWE Network tribute documentary "Thank You Daniel" and the E! reality series "Total Bellas."

In 2016, he was also appointed as the Smackdown Live General Manager, where he has continued to be an active part of the blue brand along with his nemesis commissioner Shane McMahon.

The injury prone, Bryan's rise from underdog wrestler to crowd favorite on the main event level is something very incredible. He reached the heights after dramatically winning the WWE world heavyweight championship by a pair of classic matches at Wrestlemania 30 in 2014, but a neck injury forced Bryan to relinquish the title and miss seven months of action.

However, once he returned to action, Bryan went on to win the intercontinental title in a ladder match the next year at Wrestlemania 31, but had his final match just a month later on Smackdown when he teamed up with John Cena to defeat Cesaro and Tyson Kidd.

After being sidelined with head injuries, Bryan went on to experience post-concussion seizures that he originally hid from WWE only to reveal later on the urging of his wife.

The former champion took to Twitter to express his happiness about his potential return to the ring.

After this announcement, all eyes will be on Bryan with the Wrestlemania season in full flow right now the fans would expect the YES! man to be involved in the biggest event of sports entertainment in some capacity.

How could he be involved at the event? Bryan is currently in a storyline which involves top heels Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a rivalry with Shane McMahon. He has been very sympathetic towards the top heels of Smackdown, while he has been feuding with Shane-O-Mac over every decision he takes.

First thing he has to do when he returns is to take action against the top heels, who gave a beatdown to Shane, which led the commissioner to be admitted to a local medical facility.

With last week's action, Bryan is slated to return on Smackdown to discuss about the situation surrounding Shane and the heels of the Blue brand. So, he is a certain to be involved in a match featuring these three stars.
