WWE Superstar Spectacle 2023: Top Smackdown Superstars to miss India tour?

Bengaluru, August 10: Within a month from now, WWE Universe in India will welcome their favorite Superstars in the country for a grand event set in Hyderabad. But the bad news is that they might not get to acknowledge WWE's Tribal Chief, live in person.

As announced last month, WWE is returning with the dedicated Indian-themed show named Superstar Spectacle after a couple of years to serve the fanbase of the subcontinent, this time with a live show in the country.

However, if the arranged schedule is any indication then some of the biggest names will indeed miss the tour and that includes the most popular WWE Superstar of this generation, Roman Reigns among others.

WWE Superstar Spectacle 2023 live event is scheduled from the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium (Gachibowli Indoor Stadium) in Hyderabad, India, on September 8, 2023. This falls on a Friday when WWE has their weekly taping of Smackdown.

As updated by WWFOldSchool, WWE has made this show a Raw-exclusive event, meaning that no Smackdown Superstar will be in attendance. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is certainly present in the absentees' list.

The Indian audience can't also expect to see the reigning WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Solo Sikoa, The Usos, LA Knight, Rey Mysterio, and many more who were drafted to the blue brand, earlier this year.

WWE could still send at least a few names to India by keeping them off the Smackdown September 8 episode on FOX or by taping the show earlier much like they do while traveling to Saudi Arabia. To date, there's no such announcement on WWE's part.

Meanwhile, the promotional poster for Superstar Spectacle 2023 also essentially confirms this one to be a red brand special show as it only contains Superstars from Raw including WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley.

Indian-origin stars like Jinder Mahal, Shanky, Veer Mahaan or Saurav Gurjar (Sanga) alongside Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER, Becky Lynch, Drew McIntyre, and others remain listed to appear.
