Bengaluru, August 31: It looks like the injury season has just started to pick up in the WWE. In recent times, several big names on the roster are being sidelined after suffering concussions.

Bayley suffered a shoulder injury just prior to Summerslam which changed the scene in the women's title match. Asuka was forced to vacate her NXT Women’s title with a collarbone injury.

Just after Summerslam, Big Cass suffered a knee injury that required a surgery and could take away nine months of his career. If reports are to be believed then Samoa Joe from Raw has also suffered an injury. In addition, a Smackdown superstar is said to be the victim of an injury, as well.

The superstar falling a victim recently is Xavier Woods from the New Day faction who is considered as the most fun loving guys in the locker room. Apparently, the injury was picked up at the same Arkansas tour of the WWE where Samoa Joe was hurt. Plus, both he and Woods suffered injuries to their knees.

The news was first revealed by a twitter user @BigStevieCool95 which was later confirmed by wrestlingINC.com. A match took place involving The New Day members, Xavier Woods & Kofi from The New Day and Breezango where Woods was injured.

Woods went for a jumping DDT to his opponent but get pushed away. He landed badly on his knees and was visibly hurt on the scene. Kofi was allowed to get into the match in order to finish the match and get medical attention for Woods.

Both, Fandango and the referee gave the X-sign to the backstage which is a signal of a WWE superstar picking up a real injury. This confirms that the dynamic superstar has suffered a legit injury.

WWE has not provided any update on Woods’ status, as of now. But, Woods confirmed in a recent video that he suffered an MCL sprain which should not take more than a month to heal. This is the reason he was present at Smackdown recordings as well.
