Updates: Ronda Rousey’s schedule towards Wrestlemania 34
Bengaluru, March 15: Ronda Rousey officially signed a contract with the WWE just before the Wrestlemania season. It was at the Elimination Chamber PPV where the speculations around her status within the company came to an end. She penned a deal under the WWE Raw brand to become an official superstar from the flagship show.
Being a former Olympian, it was expected that WWE would use him to the fullest way possible. That apparently turned out to be true when she made back-to-back appearances on WWE TV for three consecutive nights. Her storyline angle against Stephanie McMahon was much appreciated which was converted into a Wrestlemania match, as well.
It was confirmed that Ronda Rousey would team up with Kurt Angle in a mixed tag team match against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Plus, an update was given by the WWE which stated that she would appear on each of the episodes of WWE Raw which were,
5th March - BMO Harris Bradley Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
12th March - Little Caesars Arena, Detroit, Michigan
19th March - American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
26th March - Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio.
2nd April - Philips Arena, Atlanta, Georgia.
However, the scenario changed drastically in recent times starting from this week's edition of WWE Raw. Despite the advertisements from earlier, the former UFC superstar was not present on the show. It started a huge fan backlash at the venue of Detroit, Michigan. Some of the fans even wanted to get their ticket prices back.
Going forward, wrestlingINC.com reported that WWE has withdrawn the previous article posted on their website. The recent schedule of Ronda Rousey shows that she will make only one more appearance prior to the Wrestlemania season. Check out the updates from the source,
“WWE has since updated their advertising and removed Rousey from the next two RAWs, as well as deleting their original article about Rousey's RAW appearances. Rousey is now slated to appear at one RAW before WrestleMania, the April 2nd show from the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.”
This is not going to be a good sign for her WWE career. There was already a negative reaction from the fans since she is going to be a part-time performer in the company. She was able to prove them wrong by making consecutive appearances. But, with the updated schedule, she might just have to swallow her own words which mentioned WWE as 'this is my life’.
