Bengaluru, Nov 13: WWE always looks for some big names apart from the pro-wrestling industry to star at the Wrestlemania stage.
This helps them to gain attention from the mainstream audience. The showcase of the immortals, Wrestlemania is considered to be the fifth mega event all over in the sports industry.
Recently, Forbes named the “Wrestlemania" brand as one of the most trusted brands in all of sports & entertainment.
Next year Wrestlemania is scheduled to take place at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The creative has started to build up for the final line-ups for the 33rd edition of the mega event. This time they apparently want multiple top names from the UFC to star there.
Apparently, WWE creative is looking to book multiple big names from UFC like Connor McGregor or Ronda Rousey, as reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
They are trying to finalize a contract between WWE and UFC to turn the planning into a positive outcome. As quoted the planning is as follows,
“There is talk about trying to work a deal for a UFC star. Obviously, Ronda Rousey would be choice No. 1. Conor McGregor might be but he's got heat with a lot of the talent, but it's not ruled out.
Paige VanZant, who was originally booked for something at SummerSlam before she pulled out to do a fight on the Vancouver show, is another time being talked about."
Ronda has already made a Wrestlemania appearance at the 31st edition and hinted to take on Stephanie McMahon while working further for the WWE.
Stephanie confirmed the same some days ago. Ronda has been a WWE fans since childhood and now that she is going to fight her last at UFC 207, WWE likely to sign her under their wings.
Connor McGregor, on the other hand, created bad blood between him and WWE by taking a dig at the WWE superstars, in recent past.
Another mentionable name is Paige VanZant whom WWE creative has contacted for making an appearance. It's yet to see if one of them makes an appearance at Wrestlemania to make it even bigger.
